L’Hirondelle wanted to celebrate its team through a special employee recognition project highlighting the people who have shaped the organization for decades. Some of them have been part of L’Hirondelle for more than 30 years. The goal was to capture their stories, memories and human connections in a video that would pay tribute to their dedication and collective journey. Each participant was invited to share an anecdote from their career and a few heartfelt words about a colleague who had a meaningful impact on them.
Before filming, we coordinated with the communication team of L’Hirondelle to plan a shooting schedule that allowed every employee to participate without disrupting daily operations. We prepared a series of open-ended interview questions to encourage natural and authentic answers, focusing on emotion, storytelling and personal connection. The location, lighting and set design were carefully selected to create a warm and intimate atmosphere consistent with the organization’s values.
The filming sessions took place over several days at L’Hirondelle’s offices. We used a two-camera setup to capture multiple angles and ensure smooth transitions with a cinematic feel. Natural light was complemented by soft LED panels to maintain a bright and welcoming tone. Every detail, from the framing to the ambient sound, was adjusted to enhance the emotional depth of each testimonial while keeping a documentary-style authenticity.
In editing, our goal was to weave all these individual stories into a coherent and emotional narrative. We carefully balanced sound design, background music and pacing to maintain rhythm while leaving room for silence and emotion. Subtle color grading was applied to preserve natural tones and consistency across all interviews. The final cut was structured to highlight the diversity of experiences while maintaining a shared sense of belonging.
The completed video was unveiled during L’Hirondelle’s employee recognition evening, a moment filled with emotion and nostalgia. As the stories played on screen, laughter mixed with tears in the audience. It was a powerful reminder of the human spirit behind the organization’s mission and an unforgettable moment for everyone who has contributed to L’Hirondelle’s story.
